*Phil didn’t really expect all this attention and he didn’t plan this site as a publishing ploy, but he did start asking people to email him if they would be interested in buying a hard copy version of this project as a book some day. He now has a built-in audience for the book of AT LEAST 15,000, which is about 5-times the run size of most photobooks. I think this model where publishers build viral audience online and THEN release a hard copy, maybe only if and when interest is proved, is going to happen more and more.
